This project consisted of renovating four floors of an existing health center and reducing the overall skilled nursing bed count from 205 beds to 162 beds. The first floor was converted to a 31-unit CBRF (community based residential facility), with the remaining floors continuing to operate as a skilled nursing facility. Renovations on each floor included creating private resident rooms with accessible toilet rooms, enlarged living rooms at each wing and staff support areas. Additionally, each bathing room was enlarged for greater accessibility and dual use as an exam/grooming room. New wall, ceiling and floor finishes were added to resident use corridors and resident rooms. The central nurse station/staff area and dining room/kitchen were also extensively remodeled to create a more home-like setting, with a dining room area and serving kitchen on each floor. Other renovations include a revised administration area, new entry canopy, new roof and outdoor enclosed patios for CBRF residents.
