| An up-and-coming company desired a progressive image for their new office space. Located in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward, the late nineteenth-century warehouse building’s interior is characterized by high ceilings, large windows, exposed heavy timber structure and exposed brick walls. To create a contemporary design in an older building, spaces were formed in the new plan by the placement of objects in the space. To accomplish this design within the limited budget, careful choice and use of materials was necessary. The major materials include bold colored paint, carpet, Marmoleum, maple panels and fiberglass panels. These materials are used in large ways to define areas, rooms and views. |
