Gateway Technical College

Location:
Burlington, WI
Size:
30,000 sq. ft.
Completion Date:
August 2005
Client:
Gateway Technical College
Conceived as an extension of the Burlington Community Learning Campus, the Gateway Technical College addresses the growing need for health care workers by offering training opportunities for the ever expanding population of Southeastern Wisconsin.  The 30,000 sq. ft. building is integrated with the existing campus with carefully selected materials and forms, while providing the dynamic, forward looking aesthetic the client desired in a cost-effective way.  From the curved glass enclosure of the Student Commons, the tall curved wall lifting the Gateway sign towards the surrounding roadways, the building forms reflect Gateway’s dynamic approach to community based post-secondary education.
