82,000 sq. ft.
Completion Date:
August 2006

Nestled into a hill, this new elementary school overlooks a gently sloped area that encompasses soccer, baseball and general play areas.  The new 82,000 sq. ft., two-story building was designed with clerestory windows to provide a striking appearance and an abundance of daylight into key areas of the building.  This school features an art room, music, computer lab, IMC, locker rooms, special education functions, administrative area and a two-station gym, a cafeteria with an assembly platform that opens to serve both areas and a ground source geothermal mechanical system.

One of the first geothermal systems in a school in the State of Wisconsin.

"It was great to see them bounce ideas and suggestions off one another to come up with different suggestions.  They are very good at working with various groups - giving options and listening - they were also very flexible but remained positive towards the community."
