| As part of the Food Sciences Department, Babcock Hall has been home to the Dairy Store since 1950. The University of Wisconsin Madison retained Plunkett Raysich Architects to remodel their unique store. The Dairy Store remodeling included approximately 1,400 sq. ft. of space with a new visually exciting entry vestibule and expanded seating area with bistro tables and built-in counters with stools. This gives the entire space a new upscale retail image. As you approach the new durable stainless steel counters you will see fun, playful colored tiles lining the walls that now have plenty of product display space with fun, contemporary lighting shining on menu and product display boards. This new floor plan gives the staff a more efficient workspace and customers more room to enjoy their homemade ice cream. |
