The Green House project at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Hospital includes four, 10-bed buildings for skilled care services.  The goal of the project includes adding Palliative Care and Long-term Care components to the existing VA Zablocki campus.  The small houses will share an exterior courtyard.  Working in collaboration with the VA and NCB Capital, the intent of these small houses is to follow Dr. Bill Thomas’ “Green House®” model for skilled nursing care relative to operations and design. Three buildings will be strictly used for palliative care and LTC needs, with one building for OIF/EIF.  Further coordination is necessary due to the intended buildings being located on a historical site.
