Andrew DuChateau
AIA | HealthcareAndrew has over 20 years of combined experience across various architecture firms. In 2004, he joined PRA in search of something new and was met with endless opportunities to take on unique challenges and exciting projects. Today, Andrew is a Project Architect and Associate for the Healthcare Studio, where he oversees the production, coordination, and code research for a variety of projects. His architectural talents are flexible, and he’s known to lend a helping hand to the Education studio when needed. With the duality of Healthcare and Education, he has the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and share effective design solutions between studios.
Andrew’s favorite step in the project process is the completion stage. During the project close-out, he enjoys interacting with the clients and witnessing their happiness from his team’s work. He believes that there is nothing more rewarding than exceeding expectations and following through on promises made throughout the project to ensure a client’s happiness with the end results. Andrew is also a continuous knowledge-seeker and values the learning opportunities his clients provide. He enjoys discovering what their ambitions are or what needs are not being met with their current facility. He uses these insights on not only the current project but also during future endeavors. Likewise, he appreciates learning from his coworkers as well. He says his team consists of diverse talent from fresh minds to architect veterans, and they offer unique perspectives on every project.
When Andrew is not working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and attending music concerts and festivals.
