OUR PEOPLE

Devin Kack

AIA NCARB LEED AP | Education

“Most of the problems that existed in the architecture industry are solved, so it is really about knowing all the solutions and utilizing or combining them in unique ways to create the best possible designs for projects”

Devin discovered his interest in architecture while in high school. As a senior, he was unsure of what career to pursue but knew he wanted the ability to be creative and bring ideas to life. On a whim, he took a drafting class and it blossomed into a life passion and fulfilling career. Devin started as a design intern at PRA, and fifteen years later, he is now a Partner and Architect in the Education Studio.  Once immersed within the Education Studio, he quickly discovered his passion for creating learning environments for students and educators. Devin believes schools can change the future, and he is honored to positively impact students’ and educators’ lives through creative, thoughtful, and innovative design solutions.

His responsibility varies between each project but always revolve around the design and functionality of the spaces he and his teams create.  Devin takes pride in ensuring his team members have the resources they need to bring their clients’ dreams to life. If forced to pick one thing he loves about his job, it’s the people he gets to work with. He describes them as deeply dedicated and driven to educate the future. This drive inspires him to continually better his skills, and support the educational outcomes we all desire for students across the world.

As a father, Devin hopes one day his children will have the opportunity to learn in one of the environments he creates. For now, he takes every opportunity to play an active role in their lives. You can find them enjoying board games, hiking, or cruising down the street with each other on scooters while he is on his longboard.
