OUR PEOPLE

Michael Schaefer

AIA NCARB LEED AP | Healthcare

Michael came to PRA over 25 years ago, and since then has worked on hundreds of successful projects, primarily in our Healthcare and Senior Living studios. Michael’s passion for creating healthy living environments is unmatched. He feels it is the Architect’s responsibility to design spaces that not only assist providers but comfort the patients, residents, and families in need of care. Michael believes the work he does is highly rewarding when he can create healing environments that make its occupants feel safe, calm, and hopeful. He also enjoys working with all his clients because their knowledge and passion is infectious and motivates him to always go the extra mile.

As a Senior Associate, his forte is his ability to analyze and optimize performance by identifying design inefficiencies, mapping workflows, and improving return on investment. He appreciates how, over the years, PRA has fostered a culture of trust, professional growth, and teamwork. Because of this, it allows him to work closely with clients and he knows the project will meet or exceed expectations. When Mike isn’t working on a project enjoys the ability to give back to communities when he can!
