OUR PEOPLE

Michael Scherbel

AIA NCARB EDAC | Healthcare

While Mike worked at PRA, he provided expert leadership and helped evolve how healthcare facilities were designed. He enjoyed collaborating with healthcare providers because they were problem solvers and agents of change. He was passionate about designing facilities that enabled them to provide cutting-edge care for their patients. Mike always had the goal of designing flexible facilities that eliminated barriers and fostered healing. Over the years, his passion for collaboration and teamwork lead to process innovations, improving caregivers’ ability to provide measurable quality improvement, cost reductions, and enhanced patient-family experiences.

Mike was intent on using his time during retirement to support the countless organizations he was involved with, including the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, volunteering at Redcat Academy, and St. Benedict the Moore Community Kitchen. He also planned to use his sunset years with family and watch his grandchild grow up.
