OUR PEOPLE

Michael Scherbel

AIA NCARB EDAC | Healthcare

Mike is a recent retiree, but he is still a consulting principle for the firm. While he worked at PRA, he was an expert in healthcare facilities. He enjoyed collaborating with healthcare providers because they were problem solvers and agents of change. He was passionate about designing facilities that enabled them to provide cutting edge care for their patients. Mike always had the goal of designing flexible facilities that eliminated barriers and fostered healing. Over the years, his passion for collaboration and teamwork lead to process innovations, improving caregivers’ ability to provide measurable quality improvement, cost reductions, and enhanced patient-family experiences.

Now that Mike is retired, he has more time for the countless organizations he is a part of including the State of Wisconsin Department of Health Services, volunteering at Redcat Academy, and St. Benedict the Moore Community Kitchen. Additionally, he plans on spending more time with family and watching his grandchild grow up.
