Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and City Commissioner Rocky Marcoux visited the Walker’s Point headquarters of Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP (PRA) on Friday and issued an official proclamation naming October 9, 2015 as “Plunkett Raysich Architects Day” throughout the city. PRA, a leading architecture and interior design firm, is celebrating its 80th anniversary this year and its move downtown from the city’s northwest side in May.
The proclamation lauded the firm for its award-winning architectural and interior design work, as well as its commitment to the community, calling PRA “…one of the City’s business leaders, positively impacting the community by supporting the Ronald McDonald House, the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and the United Performing Arts Fund and volunteering with more than 100 philanthropic organizations.”
Barrett spoke to PRA employees on the current state of business and development in the Milwaukee area. He thanked PRA for its dedication to the area and recited the official proclamation, concluding by stating: “The City of Milwaukee commends PRA on 80 years of dedicated service and leadership to the community and wishes it many more years of success; Now, therefore, I, Tom Barrett, Mayor of the City of Milwaukee, do hereby proclaim Friday, October 9, 2015, to be Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP Day throughout the City of Milwaukee.”
