PRA’s Sarasota Office Welcomes Jedd W. Heap, AIA, LEED AP as Senior Project Architect

SARASOTA, FL – Innovative architecture and interior design firm Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP (PRA) announces that Jedd W. Heap, AIA, LEED AP has joined the firm’s Sarasota office as a Senior Project Architect. Mr. Heap’s wide-ranging experience features thoughtfully designed, sustainably focused project types including animal welfare, education, government, commercial, medical office and recreational projects.

With more than 20 years of Florida design and construction experience, Jedd has led teams on landmark projects like Sarasota Military Academy, Sun N Fun Resort Wellness Center, Sally & Sam Shapiro Babies & Children’s Medical Center, The Finish Tower at Nathan Benderson Park, and the much anticipated expansion of the Humane Society of Sarasota County.

“I enjoy working closely with clients and contractors who are passionate about their projects, the impact they will have in the community and the people the projects will serve,” says Jedd. “The PRA team embodies those qualities, and I am excited to be a part of it.

Additionally, Mr. Heap takes an active leadership role in the community, serving as the State Director for the Gulf Coast Chapter of the AIA, is a sitting member of the Manatee County Planning Commission, and volunteers his time for local non-profits and his daughter’s elementary school.

Golden To Aid During Disasters

In effort to give back to his community, Our own Gregg Golden, AIA is now certified thru AIA WI using the State of California Office of Emergency Services Safety Assessment Program, as a Disaster Service Worker and will be assigned essential Emergency Duties during times of Disaster or State of Emergency. 

We are hopeful his service will never be needed, ……but know he will be ready if called upon. 

Scott Kramer is Appointed Managing Partner

Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP (PRA) announced that Scott A. Kramer, AIA, NCARB was appointed Managing Partner. In addition, David J. Raysich, AIA has moved from Managing Partner to Chairman of the Board.

“Dave has played a huge part in the success of our firm for the past 43 years and I’m thankful for his mentorship,” said Kramer. “The great people I get to work with, the clients, and our consulting engineers have helped make PRA my home away from home for 33 years.”

Kramer first joined PRA in 1986 and was named Partner in 2003. Last year, he was named a Senior Partner as part of a long-range leadership transition plan the firm has been following for several years. In his time with PRA, he has been involved with projects in each of the firm’s studios.

“I love the opportunities my job has given me to solve different challenges every day,” he said. “I’m honored and excited to move into the role of Managing Partner and work with our staff to keep our positive momentum going and continue to solve challenges for our clients.”

James “Jim” Plunkett Served Clients For Over 50 Years

MILWAUKEE, WI – Plunkett Raysich Architects, LLP, one of Wisconsin’s leading architecture and interior design firms, is remembering the life and legacy of Jim Plunkett, the firm’s retired named partner. Jim passed away surrounded by family at his home in River Hills last Thursday. He was 81 years old.

Jim joined the firm in 1958, two years after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in architecture. His father, Henry Plunkett, founded the firm in 1935.+ Read more
