PRA Partner Jason Puestow Receives Patriot Award

PRA Partner Jason Puestow receives The Patriot Award after being nominated by Adam Herrera of the United States Army Reserve. Bob Strange, Area 2 Chair of the ESGR, presented the award and a certificate highlighting PRA's support for the Guard and Reserve.

We are proud to announce that Plunkett Raysich Architect’s (PRA) Partner Jason Puestow, AIA, CSI, CCCA, received the Patriot Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). Jason was nominated by Adam Herrera, a Construction Administrator with PRA and member of the United States Army Reserve.

The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures, including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed. An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve, may nominate individual supervisors or bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his or her family.

“From my experience, I can honestly say PRA has been the most understanding and supportive company of my military career.  I felt it was important that this support was recognized not just by me, but by ESGR and the Department of Defense.”

Adam originally nominated Jason for the award during his 2019 deployment. Due to COVID, the award presentation originally scheduled for March 2020 was moved to October 2021. Mr. Bob Strange, Area 2 Chair from the ESGR, presented the award to Jason, with a certificate recognizing PRA’s commitment to supporting Reserve Component Service Members.

ESGR, a Department of Defense program, was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers and to assist in the resolution of conflicts arising from an employee’s military commitment. Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve is a Department of Defense program primarily to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve and National Guard service members and employers.

We recognize the sacrifice made by our men and women in uniform.  We are eternally thankful and support our military in all efforts to maintain global stability and peace.  We are especially proud when those service members are also members of the PRA family.
